Suicide Prevention Awareness Summit 2026

We’re excited to share an upcoming community event that creates space for connection, learning, hope, and meaningful conversations about mental health.

Join the QPR & MHFA Instructor Collaborative for the inaugural Staying Alive: Suicide Prevention Awareness Summit on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at The Park Church in Charlotte.

This free, half-day summit is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, learn practical skills, discover local resources, and explore how each of us can play a role in supporting the mental health and well-being of our Charlotte community.

The morning will include:

Coffee & continental breakfast
🤝 Community resource fair
💬 Presentations and conversations
🌱 Your choice of two workshops (see below)

QPR Suicide Prevention

Learn the three simple steps: Question, Persuade, and Refer. Gain practical tools for recognizing when someone may need support and helping connect them to resources.

Community Resiliency Model (CRM)

Explore practical wellness skills designed to help us better understand the impact of stress and trauma on the nervous system and build greater resilience for ourselves and those around us.

Whether you’re a parent, caregiver/guardian, educator, mental health professional, community leader, or simply someone who wants to learn more, there’s a place for you at this table.
