Norty Turner is a transformational business leader and the Chief Executive Officer of Sunstate Equipment, where he leads a national team focused on operational excellence, strong culture, and long-term value creation. Throughout his career, Norty has built high-performing organizations by combining strategic clarity with deep care for people and community impact.
Over nearly three decades, he has served in senior executive and CEO roles across global organizations including Riwal Holding Group, United Rentals, and RESA Power. He is widely recognized for leading cultural transformations, developing strong leadership teams, and fostering environments where both employees and customers thrive.
Norty is the Co-Founder of Mind The Gap, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding awareness, connection, and access to mental health resources for children, teenagers and young adults. Inspired by personal conviction and a belief that leadership extends beyond the workplace, he is committed to helping families and communities navigate the growing mental health challenges facing young people today.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
