Emma Lovitt is a double major in Psychology and Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her work is driven by a mission to build systematic solutions that center multicultural perspectives and advance equity across race, gender, sexuality, and beyond.
That commitment is deeply personal. Emma has witnessed inequality in the mental health system firsthand, and she has seen how those same systemic forces play out on a macro scale.
As a Research & Data Intern at Mind the Gap, Emma hopes to put her research skills to work while helping create meaningful community impact, supporting the youth and mental health of Mecklenburg County.
