Alicia Ibanez, PA-C, MBA, FACHE is a clinically practicing healthcare executive and passionate advocate for expanding access to mental health services—especially for youth and underserved communities across Mecklenburg County. She believes early, equitable access to behavioral health care can change the trajectory of a child’s life and strengthen families and communities.
As Chief Operating Officer of OptiMed Hospitalists, Alicia leads acute, post-acute, and behavioral health operations across North Carolina and surrounding states. She has helped design and scale innovative care models, including virtual psychiatry and integrated behavioral health services, focused on closing access gaps and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Alicia is deeply committed to community impact in Charlotte. She serves on the boards of Mind The Gap, HealthReach Community Clinic, and Youth Development Initiatives, supporting initiatives that advance mental health awareness, early intervention, and youth development. She holds a Master of Physician Assistant Studies, an MBA in Healthcare Administration, is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
