Alyson G. Shaffer founded Solving Autism in 1999 in hopes of improving the lives of children, adolescents, and adults with autism, developmental delays and behavioral disorders. After moving to North Carolina from Massachusetts in 1995, Alyson quickly saw the need for more individualized services for all individuals with developmental delays. Alyson’s goal and vision is to treat each client as if they are her only client. Today, we have grown to a team of highly trained and dedicated professionals who strive to make all individuals reach their fullest potential. We value the TEAM approach and appreciate every team member’s opinion, views and ideas. We understand that true success requires ongoing support, training, and supervision/monitoring. Phone support is always provided on an as needed basis. We pride ourselves on being available for our clients whenever the need arises.
Solving Autism provides individualized programming for each client based upon his or her specific needs. We address all areas of the individual including self-care, behavioral programming, fine motor, gross motor, communication, social skills, and cognitive (pre-academic and academic) skills.
We work with all individuals in the setting that best meets their needs including their own homes, schools, and in the community.
