From Teen Health Connection:
Teen Health Connection is the leading provider of integrated medical and behavioral healthcare for adolescents and young adults ages 11 to 25, through an exclusive community collaboration with Atrium Health’s Levine Children’s Hospital, including a Center for Disordered Eating and Center for Gender Health. Our mission is to improve the health of adolescents by providing adolescent medicine and behavioral health services, educations, advocacy, leadership development and research through connections among adolescents, parents, and the community. Programs include parent training classes, with resources specifically designed to strengthen parental efficacy and build healthy connections between parents and their teens. We offer virtual parent training, virtual parent support groups, and opportunities to participate in in-depth discussions on the hottest topics affecting teens today. Our teen advisory board, (TAB) is a group of adolescent leaders who work to better the Charlotte community by leading awareness and prevention initiatives about substance use, behavioral health, and other critical adolescent health issues for their peers. TAB members participate in unique leadership and prevention workshops, engage in volunteer activities and community service events, and have meaningful opportunities to serve as youth leaders. Our youth drug-free coalition, is a group of community volunteers who serve collaboratively to advise the Teen Health Connection Teen Advisory Board and all Teen Health Connection alcohol and substance abuse prevention and education initiatives.
