Partial hospitalization adolescent program
The partial hospitalization program at Novant Health is designed to uniquely support the needs of adolescents ages 13 to 17. Your child will be treated in a safe and stable environment by caring, compassionate mental health specialists.
The program typically lasts four to six weeks, depending on your child’s specific needs. We’ll consider their mental well-being and any related medical challenges they may face. Our care team is available Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
How the program works
Throughout the program, your child will participate in individual, group and family therapy sessions. Their team of specialists may include a psychiatrist, therapist, educator, recreational therapist and mental health nurse. These experts will assist your adolescent with:
Treatment alternatives, Medications and dosages, Related medical support, Prioritizing schoolwork, Developing coping skills, Therapeutic activities
